Type VN day care center on a 360' x 230' parcel of land. Parking has been calculated at 45 spaces. The occupant load will be approximately 168. It is not known by the applicant whether the Spokane Industrial Park will operate the day care center or whether it will be leased by a private individual. SilI1MMARY OF DEP AL REQUI MIENTS: I. Building and Safety (456-3675) A. Discussion/Requirements 1. The plans initially submitted were incomplete. However, the applicant did submit a complete set at the meetinq. 2. The plans show a dead end exit corridor which is not allowed by the code. An addenda to the plans needs to be submitted showing a continuous corridor not more than 20 feet in length. Several options are available and were discussed after the meeting. - 1 - ~ . 2. Handicap parking must be adjacent to the sidewalk. 3. Fire District No. 1 will require an additional hydrant. Fire f low has been calculated at 3,000 g.p.m. Fire District No. 1 would also like to look at the site to determine hydrant location. 4. An Environmental Checklist has already been submitted, with the 15 day review period ending June 1, 1987. A Declaration of Non-siqnificance has been issued. B. Permit Release Requirements 1. A revised set of plans is required showing items 1 and 2 above prior to release of the permit. II. Engineering (456-3600) A. Discussion/Requirements 1. A copy of comments were given to Building and Safety by Bob McCann. B. Permit Release Requirements 1. A revised site plan is required defining the drainage basins, where the water is coming from and the location of swales. III. Health District (456-3600) A. Discussion/Requirements 1. The sewage disposal is handled by the Spokane Industrial Park sewer system. There is no requirements from the Health District. 2. A permit will be required from the Department of 5ocial and Health Services for a day care license. (The applicant indicated he-has already been ia contact with Fred Roundtree of DSHS.) B. Permit Release Requirements - 1. The Health Department is ready to release the permit. 2 - . ~ IV. Piw-ninc '_-~epartment (456-2205) A. Discussian/Requi-rements 1. Correct identif icatian of the praperty is required. The parcel nuanber does not shaw up vn the computer. 2. 45 parkinq spaces is adequate. 3. A short plat may be necessary far the division of land.
