Dear Mr. Nelson:
In the permitting process for our second bui.lding for Itron,
Ine., a question has arisen with regard to the future of
Euclid Road between Sullivan and Flora Roads. As you will
recall, approximately three weeks ago we met to discuss a
right turn lane on Sullivan Road and a traffic signal at
Sullivan and Euclid. We also discussed several mzthods
of financing those improvements.
Wle have since located a Washington State organization called
CERB (Community Economic R,evitalization Board) that provides
funds on a loan/grant basis to municipalities that have ex-
hausted all other methods of raising funds to provide jobs
for the local community.
With the help of the county we propose to approach GERB not
only for funds to improve Euclid Road, but also the entire
traffic light situation on Sullivan Road. Prior to my con-
tacting CERB we must bui.ld a case to justify funds.
The Park has initiated a market feasibility analysis to
determine not only what type of tacilities the market plaee
is demanding today, but more ixaportantly what kind of facility
will be required in the future. We plan on using this study
to guide us in the developmexyt of our Master Plan for the Park.

Once we have the Master Plan and Feasibility Study, we can
relate this back to j obs to substantiate a case for CF.,RB funds.
This is the way we plan on approaching the improvements to
Euclid RAad. We do not have any idea what type of a time frame ~
it will take to obtain an approval from CERB for monies,, but we
have already commitjced the necessary funds for the feasi.bility
study.

grant approval af a building permit for the second Itron buildi.ng.
