15-005.02 Gordon Thomas Honeywell: Lobbyist CONTRACT AMENDMENT FOR THE AGREEMENT
BETWEEN THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY AND GORDON THOMAS HONEYWELL–
GOVERNMENTAL AFFAIRS

o2For good and valuable consideration, the legal sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, City and
Gordon Thomas Honeywell–Governmental Affairs mutually agree as follows:
1. Purpose: This Amendment is for the Contract for Gordon Thomas Honeywell–Governmental Affairs
to provide the City with assistance in governmental affairs and lobbying at the state level, executed by the
Parties on January 5, 2015,and which terminates on December 31, 2015 (Original Contract). Total
compensation under the Original Contract is not to exceed$40,000 per year,of which a maximum of
$2,500 may be used for expenses.
2. Original Contract Provisions: The Parties agree to continue to abide by those terms and conditions of
the Original Contract, dated January 5,2015, and any amendments thereto, which are not specifically
modified by this Amendment.
3. Amendment Provisions: This Amendment is subject to the following amended provisions,below. All
such amendment provisions are hereby incorporated by reference herein and shall control over any
conflicting provisions of the Original Contract, including any previous amendments thereto.
Pursuant to Section 2, the Parties agree to implement the second of four option years, making the new
expiration date December 31, 2017. Additionally, the City desires to have Gordon Thomas Honeywell–
Governmental Affairs provide oversight and recommendations on state agency rulemaking efforts that are
likely to impact the City or its residents, or of which are of interest to the City Council.
4. Compensation Amendment History: This is Amendment# 1 of the Original Contract and the history of
amendments to the Gordon Thomas Honeywell–Governmental Affairs' compensation is as follows:

Amendment#2 for rulemaking oversight September 16, 2016 $15,000
Total Amended Compensation $55,000.00
The parties have executed this Amendment to the Original Contract thiJ day of September,
2016.
