WAC Amendment Table R302.1 Fire Resistant Construction for Exterior Walls—Eave or other projections for walls less than 5 feet from property lines require one hour fire protection on the underside unless fire blocking is provided at the wall or no gable end vent is installed.This effectively eliminates any venting at the exterior wall if within 5 feet of the property line without fire protection. 2.
