Street and Drainage Plan Conditional Acceptance
The Civil Plans for the above-mentioned project, which Development Engineering received on June 18,
2010 have been reviewed and found to be consistent with pertinent development regulations and thus
have been accepted provided the minor corrections described below are done.
Prior to Development Engineering signoff on the grading permit, the following items shall be
addressed:
1. Prior to submitting the mylars,please email to me pdf s of the plans showing the following
minor corrections for review:
a. Label Centerline of 8th Avenue on Roadway Section A-A.
b. Show Centerline of Right-of-Way on Roadway Section A-A
c. Show Right-of-Way and Border Easement on Roadway Section A-A and on plan view.
d. Add the following notes to "General Notes", "*A heavy application of tack coat or other
approved material shall be applied to the full length of the saw cut to ensure that the joint
is properly sealed" and"*All boulders and large rocks to be moved beyond Border
Easement, or removed completely".
e. Show a 1:10 taper, on west end of widening to tie into existing widened pavement.
2. The project engineer must submit Mylars with the corrections for signature.
3. The City has a plan acceptance construction stamp in AutoCAD. This stamp may be placed on
the Mylars. If you would like this stamp,please contact Development Engineering via email.
4. The process to start construction, in summary, is:

5. A pre-construction conference is required. Please contact Rod Pegram,the Development
Engineering Construction Inspector, at 720-5324 to schedule this meeting. Attendees shall
include the Project Engineer,the Applicant/Developer,the Contractor,the Onsite Inspector who
will be certifying the project and, if known,the subcontractors for concrete and asphalt. Meeting
will not be held if these people are not able to be present. Prior to the meeting, it should be
determined who will supply the weekly reports,the certification package and who will perform
the testing.
6. Revisions shall be noted on a copy of the approved final civil plans and shall be labeled Record
Drawings.

7. Contact the Planning Department(Martin Palaniuk/720-5031) for additional conditions that may
exist.
8. Contact the Permit Center(720-5240) for other requirements and needed permits (e.g. right-of-
way obstruction permit).
9. Final Plat—
a. Prior to final plat submittal,please contact Wayne McGavran at
wmcgavran@spokanevalley.ora or 509-720-5323 to obtain plat language from
Development Engineering.
b. Prior to acceptance,the applicant or successors in interest shall submit:
i. Improvements are to be constructed and accepted(by the Development
Engineering Construction Inspector. For sureties,the City only accepts Letters of
Credit or Cash Savings Assignments.
