Sprague Suite 106 Spokane Valley, Wa. 99206 Reference: House Move Dear Tom, Yesterday, Rick Ellis from our company met with your permitting staff in reference to a house move that we will be starting that would originate from 3720 E. 2nd Ave. moving to 4916 E. 9th. We requested a relocation permit with an allowance to temporarily store the house on the property at 4916 E. 9th until the plat of the property is complete. This house was purchased from Washington Department of Transportation and is part of an effort to retain homes within the freeway right of way that have historical significance. Also, it needed to be placed within 1/2 mile of the East Central Community per WSDOT requirements. Our property met that requirement. Our plat is in the final stage and close to submittal. We would like to get through the relocation process and have the house inspected,move the house to the property where it will remain on beams and secured. We will install temporary 6' fencing around the house until time to move onto the new foundation. All windows and doors are secured. The existing house on the property at 4912 E. 9th will be under construction to complete as a duplex. Plans have been submitted to you for review for this duplex. We have just completed this process for a home near Pasadena Park in the Northwest Side of the Spokane Valley. We moved this house from Argonne and Maringo Dr. to a temporary location on Bessie, then moved to its new location at 8307 E. Upriver. During the time it was on the temporary location the windows and doors were secured and fencing was maintained around the house. The temporary location was across the street from Pasadena Park Elementary School. Please feel free to call Spokane County Building Dept. for a reference on this project if you would like.
