The following comments are provided. Clarifications and additional/revised information must be submitted in order to proceed with the review to determine compliance with applicable standards. Please submit requested information to the Permit Center. 1. The installation of LPG tanks shall meet the requirements of the International Fire Code (IFC) Ch. 38 & NFPA 58. 2. The piping between the tank and the building requires a mechanical permit from the City of Spokane Valley, 3. If the stove is new a Labor 8 Industries permit/review may be necessary. 4. Provide the following information on a revised site plan: a. Length of tank. b. Distance from tank to any buildings or structures, the public way and adjacent property lines. A minimum of 10ft is required per IFC Table 3804.3. 5. Per IFC 3807.3 a minimum of 10ft clearance between the tank and combustible materials (such as weeds, grass, brush and trash) is required. 6. Provide a data sheet of the tank to be used. It shall meet the requirements of NFPA 58 Ch. 5. 7. The stove shall be listed for the use (NFPA 58 5.20.6) and be provided with an automatic gas Flow shut-off (NFPA 58 5.20.7). 8. Provide information on the piping between the tank and the building: size, material, length, location of emergency shut-off. Upon receipt of the information or clarification as noted above, the review of this application can be completed. If there are any questions please do not hesitate to call.
