The following is the title and sumrnaiy of Ordinance No. 16-015 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council
on the 25th day of October, 2016:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON,
LEVYING THE REGULAR PROPERTY TAXES FOR THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY,
WASHINGTON FOR THE YEAR COMMENCING JANUARY 1,2017 TO PROVIDE REVENUE FOR
CITY SERVICES AS SET FORTH IN THE CITY BUDGET, AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING
THERETO.
Section 1 states that the dollar amount of the property tax increase over the actual levy amount from the
previous year shall be $0.00 which is a percentage increase of 0.0% fi•oin the previous year; and that this
increase is exclusive of additional revenue resulting from new construction. Section 2 states that this
ordinance, along with a complete copy of the budget as adopted, shall be transmitted by the City Clerk to
the Division of Municipal Corporations in the Office of the State Auditor, and to the Association of
Washington Cities. Section 3 addresses severability, and Section 4 provides for an effective date.
