We received your application for an addition onto your existing garage. Since your
phone number was not indicated on the application, I am responding to your request in
writing. Along with this application we did not receive any construction drawings for
this project and as such, are not able to proceed with a review of your request. Is you
current garage a stick built structure or is it a pole building? If it's a pole building,was it
an engineered designed structure? What direction does your existing ridge run? What
direction are you proposing to run your new ridge? What type of construction are you
planning to utilize in this addition? How is it going to be built? Are there going to be
any door? Will you be opening up the existing wall for access to the addition? If so, how
wide?
When you have the above construction drawings and the information on the proposal and
on the structure you will be adding onto,please come into our office. We process this
type of permit and do the plan review while you are here and there typically is not a very
long wait. Our office hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. If
you are planning to come in late in the day,please be here by 4:30 as it takes a little time
to complete the application/review process. If you have any questions I can be reached
