RE: Failure to Obtain Permit
Dear Mr. Darsh:
The Spokane County Building Codes Department has
requested the assistance of this office, as their statutory
legal counsel, to enforce compliance with the Uniform Build-
ing Code provisions relating to your property located at the
above address.
Our file reflects that you were informed of the
alleged violation in a letter dated December 23, 1930. A
subsequent check of Building Code Department records on
January 21, 1981, indicated you have not applied for a building
permit for the detached garage located at the above address
which you have begun without the required permit. At this
time you are in violation of Uniform Building Code Section
301 as adopted by Spokane County.
Please be advised that a violation of the Uniform
Building Code provision is a misdemeanor, and upon convic-
tion a person shall be subject to a fine of not more than
$500. 00 or by imprisonment in the County jail for not more
than 90 days or by both fine and imprisonment.
Be further advised that you have ten days from tne
date of this letter to secure compliance with the Uniform
Building Code provisions relating to the above property or
make other arrangements with the Spokane County Building
Codes Department relating to the alleged violation as outlined
above. If you fail to do so, this office will be obligated
to file a criminal complaint against you at the request of
the Spokane County Building Codes Department.
