Dear Planning Commissioni
The fallowing is a listir,g in numerical order of the by-laws
that have been drafted by the elected officers of the communities
recreational center.
(A) The Committee; The committee is made up of a chairman, Vice
chairman, and secretary-treasurer. The recreational center has
it's own checking account for dispursing expenses and to pay for
the maintaince of the pool and the surrounding grounds, and for
landscaping. Periodic meetings are held by the committees officers
to plan the activities and new improvments for the center.
(B) By-Laws; (1) Pool Maintainance-- The community swimming pool
will be maintained by an appointed community representative who
is presently Mrs. Paschal who regularly cleans the poal and adds
the necessary chernicals in order to keep the pool in its best
sanitary level, to meet the Health Departments requirments.
The pool has all the necessary cleaning equpirnent, filtering equiptment, and sanitation chemicals ta keep the pool at its best
operating condition.
(2) The grounds and surrounding areas= This spring the community
will be seeding grass from the perimeter fence all the way down
to the swianming pool. Low Schrubs, like Juniper Tams will be
planted along the pump house area and bordering sidewalks. No
large shrubs will be planted so as not to obstruct the view of
tne surrounding landowners. Three or four small trees will be
planted to accent the property.
(3) Lighting; The pool area itself has all the lighting re-
quirments as specified by Washington State Code. The community
will be installing two more lighting units of the mercury vapor
type. One unit will be located at the entrance gate area and r
the other unit situated by the pump house area.
(4) SAF'ETY EQUPIMENTs The community has taken all necessary
steps for the safe operation of the center.

A. A full time life guard will be employeed this summer to
superviae water safety and first aid.
B. Special hours of operation will be enfarced by the life
guard and the committee.

(c) Brand new safety equiptment for the swimming pool area is
being purchased such as . ring bouys, grappling hooks etc.
(d) A safety locking gate has been installed, and a special key
must be used for entrey into the premises.
(E) The pool is equipteci with a grounding system installed to meet
all state requixements.
(5) MEMBERSiiIP; The community will be taking care of all the
needed costs ~of maintaining and operating funct?ons of the pool.
Each farnily particapating in the program will be issued a key to
the automatic lock system upon payment of the membership fee that
is determined each year by the committee in order to cover the
operations of the center and the s•arrounding grounds.
(6) OTHER ACTIVITIES A badrninton court and horseshoe caurt
are presentley in the planning stages for the center.
