STQRM DRAINAGE REPORT
SOUTH SIDE OF MAIN AVENUE WEST OF ARGQNNE

The attached design of a portion of Main Avenue is a design ta upyrade
this particular section vf Main Avenue to Caunty standards. No '208'
storm drainage facilities have been proposed, as allowed by yaur po1icy
an improwements of shvrt sectians of existing streets. A partion af the
propased curb (5ta 51+19.53 to Sta 51+50) has a grade (.00427) belaw

this area is in a vertical curve, in which it is possible ta have grades
within the vertical curve itself that are less than minlmum. It is
assumed that all stvrm water flaws on private property will be disposed

SUBJECT: Pen Lube, Inc. Project - N. Argonne Rd
Delr Tom:
Listed below are responses to the items of concern raised by
each departmental representative at the March 24th meeting:
.
1. Building and Safety (as per March 23rd letter)
.
1. Two layers of 5/8 inch Firecode gypsum board will be
installed at the underside of the roof trusses in lieu of two
layers of 1/2 inch gypsum board.
2. The length of the buildinq will be shortened by five feet
in order to cancel the parapet requirement at the south side.
3. Rigid insulation will be installed on the exterior side
of the basement walls.
4. Two exits will be iastalled in the basement: a) concrete
exterior stairway (see drawing); b) an accesa ladder with hatch
will be installed between the middle and last service bay
adjacent to outside wall.
5. Al1 floor drains will have a back water valve installed.
6. An oil separator and etorage tank will be installed
between the basement floor drain and holding tank (see
accompanying sheets).
