The inspection log shows no inspections conducted for 13209 E. 11t for the above mentioned permit. It was indicated to me that you had in your possession at one time an inspection card from the Building Inspector,but now it is not in your possession. Unfortunately,the Building Inspector that performed the inspection is no longer with our organization and did not leave his log book for our records. Also during this time, there were many program changes going on with our computer network and permitting programs which resulted in a few cases where documentation had been lost. I empathize with your dilemma,the best we could do is offer an on-site safety inspection and hopefully get a visual on the supporting members to clarify it meets minimum code requirements. This would be contingent on being able to access the attic space for inspection. If this is acceptable,please give our office a call to obtain a Safety Inspection Permit for$60.00 and we will send an inspector out to look at the project. This will give you documentation that you can utilize showing the construction meets minimum code requirements. If access is not possible,please give me a call and we will have to see what other options are available to resolve this issue. Sprague Ave. Spokane Valley,WA 99206 Dear Mr.Myre: I am applying for a building permit for my home located at 13209 E. 11t Avenue. The work to be completed there will consist of building a new pitched roof on top of an existing flat roof. Scissor trusses of 6/12 will be used and placed on top of a new plate of 2x6's,which will be anchored in place to the existing plates. I have included the truss specs from Valley Best-Way for your information. The flat roof will remain intact. We plan to use 2x4's to string the trusses together. We'll also plan to cover the trusses with plywood/OSB. At this time,we don't anticipate adding any additional insulation to the roof. The existing chimney will be extended in order to clear the new roof. In addition, the existing garage and carport will be roofed in the same way. A metal roof has been chosen to complete the project. We plan to do all the work ourselves, with the help of my brother-in-law,Ken Stewart and two of his construction co-workers, Mike and Kevin Rogers. They will be flying down from Alaska next week. The trusses are set to anrive on Monday, October 6th. We plan to have the chimney and plates in place before they arrive.
