This is an error and should read 7312. This error was noted during October, 2005. Contact was made with attorney David Herman - Herman, Herman & Jolley Attorneys. David advised making contact with yourself and Heather Kauer to report error and request correction. Our letter of January 18, 2006 reported error and requested correction. A few days later we came to your office to check on progress. Having received no answers, we wrote to you and to Heather on March 16, 2006. To the best of our knowledge no reply was received and the error continues as noted by June 1, 2007 notice from Spokane County. We now are requesting immediate action to correct records of City of Spokane Valley, with this correction given to Spokane County. We will need to receive your telephone call at 993-4578 acknowledging receipt of this letter, describing action you are taking. We believe this error has gone uncorrected far too long. This has only come to my attention recently when I noticed that some of the paperwork had the address as 7316. I am enclosing a copy of the Real Estate Excise Tax Affidavit which shows the mailing address and the street address of the property to be 7316 East 12th Avenue but this was not caught at the time of closing. I am also enclosing a copy of the Spokane County 2006 Property Tax Statement which shows my mailing address to be 7312 East 12th but the property location to be 7316. I spoke with the people in the attorney's office who did the closing and they feel the error is on the part of the City of Spokane Valley. Once the City of Spokane Valley corrects its records, the County of Spokane can be notified of the change and can then correct its records also. I spoke with you in January but have heard nothing back yet. What concerns me is that I live at 7312 and am paying taxes for the property at 7316. I'm curious if the people who live at 7316 are paying my taxes. I don't want to pay the taxes for the property at 7316 and then be told later that I still owe taxes for the property at 7312. Perhaps it is just a very slow process but I am very concerned that it be corrected.
