Footing and Foundation permits issued pursuant to Uniform Building Code Section 106.4.1 are for`below grade' (12"
maximum above final grade) construction of commercial footing and foundation systems and slabs. They can be
issued "...provided adequate information and detailed statements have been filed complying with all pertinent requirements
of this code. The holder of a partial permit shall proceed without assurance that the permit for the entire building or structure
will be granted."
With submission of appropriate plans and other information including completion of environmental processes,
approval for sub slab plumbing work, mechanical work, etc., can be included within the parameters of the Footing
and Foundation permit without issuance of a separate plumbing/mechanical permit. Such permits are required
however, prior to proceeding with plumbing and mechanical work for the balance of the building.
Review and approval of all the following is required prior to issuance of a Footing and Foundation permit:
✓ Site plan, including site stormwater drainage and erosion and sediment control provisions
/ Basic building plan and concept
✓ Basic structural system along with any necessary calculations
✓ Basic sub slab plumbing and mechanical systems, if applicable
The holder of this permit understands and agrees that any work beyond that described below and on the Footing and
Foundation permit will be subject to an investigative fee equal to the amount of the outstanding building permit fee
per Section 107.5 .

a. Cracking in stucco on most exterior walls appear to be shrinkage cracks as they are random and some
radial in form. One linear crack (about 12-16"long) extends from the top of the south wall near a
window. Another crack appears at the entry corner at the top of the wall. Both are approximately no
more than 1/16"wide. All other cracks are no more than 1/32"wide.
2. House # Two:
a. There is one linear crack (about 12-16"long) extending from the top of a wall and is about 1/16"wide.

1. General note for lateral bracing of roof trusses: roof sheathing and drywall ceiling are being installed to
provide lateral bracing. Additional bracing is noted as follows:

a. Lateral bracing for garage trusses accomplished with continuous 2x4's in two locations.
b. The only lateral bracing not installed in house portion of home is the clerestory,except for solid blocking
immediately below the clerestory windows on the trusses'bottom chord.
3. House #Two:
a. The only lateral bracing not installed in house portion of home is the clerestory. Solid blocking has been
installed between trusses where possible.
b. No lateral bracing has been installed in the garage.
