CALL TO ORDER: The meetinq was called to order at approximately
10:00 a.m. by Building and Safety's Code Compliance Coordinator

SCOPB/PRlOr7SCT DESCRIPTION:
The applicant is proposing an addition to the existing type VN
two story office building, with the lower floor addition
consisting of 2,140 square feet and the upper fl.oor consisting of
2,047 square €eet.
SUMMARY OF DEPARTDUWAL RBrQUIRFMENTS :
l. Building and Safety (456-3675)
A. Discussion/Requirements
1. The results of the plan review were noted in a
letter dated March 18, 1987. The applicant was
given the plan review letter.
2. Construction comments were reviewed with the
applicant for clarity.
3. If the atrium area is to serve as a required exit
for an occupant load of more than 30, one-hour
fire-resistive construction will be required.
This matter will be discussed in further detail by
Mr. Ohashi and Martin Robinson at a later date.
4. The Department of Building and Safety's files show
that a Certificate of Occupancy has not been
issued for the existing building.

There is also an indication that the construction
of the second f loor corridor is not one-hour rated
as is required. The inspector for the project
will be Reed Ockey, he will look at the second
f loor corridor in order to determine if it is
completed for one hour rating, if the corridor is
not, this will have to be changed during the
construction of the addition.
B. Permit Release Requirements
1. The applicant shall satisfy all comments included
in the plan review letter.
2. Engineers Off ice (456-3600)
A. Discussion/Requirements
1. Copy of comments was given to the applicants and
Building and Safety by Bob McCann.
2. Any further questions should be forwarded to Bob
McCann
B. Permit Release Requirements
1. A drainage plan must be provided for the proposed
project. Due to the fact that the proposal is
located over the Spokane Aquifer is will be
necessary for the drainage plan to be prepared in
eomgliance with the provisions of "Spokane County
Starmwater Guidelines". Stormwater runoff must be
disposed of via grass precolation areas. The
Drainage plan must include:
a. Calculations of stormwater volumes.
b. Finished grade elevations for the proposed
structure.
c. A typical cross-section of the 11208" swales.
d. A copy of the landscape plan, if one is
required.
3. Health District (456-6040)
A. Discussion/Requirements
1. Not present. The Health District reported prior
to the conference that the site is already being
served by a public sewer system, and they have no
