With good faith in a licensed contractor doing this type of work under the name of A-Plus Construction, Stan Anderton. We hired him to attach us to the newly installed sewer system on 12th avenue in the Spokane Valley. Drawings of our septic system were provided and we discussed what it would entail. After, supposably, all the work was finished, ditches filled, and full payment made, we noticed every time we used our washing machine, water bubbled out of the ground in the back yard. We contacted the contractor several times before he responded by opening a hole in the back yard and said he had missed the line coming from the kitchen and laundry facilities. After making the connection on these lines, the contractor left leaving the hole open. We noticed that the connections were severely leaking. We contacted the contractor again and made him aware of our condition. After repeated tries -- with no response from the contractor -- I properly made the connections, checked for leakage and covered the hole. All the above was over approximately a 6 week period, starting the end of September, 1991. I feel that the inspectors should be aware of this contractor's work quality. I 'm asking, as a tax payer and as an individual, that your department respond aggressively to inspections of said contractors work. Thanking you in advance for your assistance in this matter. Appreciatively, 00400 7-2 -4-47,_ ames E Feather & Marilyn J Feather E 13702 12th Opportunity, WA 99216 PS Mr. Stan Anderton had said that your department would send us the legal placement of the lines we had him hook to the sewer. As of this time, we have not received any prints from your office. (.6„, -
