stories, with a total of 5 rooms. Tha second story wi.ll be used for living
purposes. The a.pproximate cost is $15,000.00. All advertising and posting

Mr. Kirnbroup;h: I have my plans that I would like to present to the Com-

showing the construction of the service station. I am erventually going to

be an asset to the Communit,r.
Mr. Fosseen: How much investnent?
1~r. F777ou?,-h : From 14 to 20 thousand dollars.
1'ir. Rutter: Is there anyone here to spQak for or against this request?
T'ir. Ulove~t: The land that this service statioii is on, is within 150'
of ano-cher party. This card ha rocQived said that just a service station
was going in, not an apartment. I am opposed to a service station, or any-
thing that would take value fram my place. I have a new brick home in the
21,000 block on Argonne with an investment of $9,000•00. I£ this is detri-
nental to the value of my property y I atn opposed to it.
T4r. Fosseen: Has this gentlemon seen the plana?
Mr. CleveTt : No, and it wouldn't do any good. Before I came up he re I
called on Arthur D. Jones, and he said that a service station close to my
home wi11 dI-preciste my home at least 1/5. I am opposed ta it.
P roP e rt,y Owne r: I think it would be a det riment rathe r than an as sett . It
- doesn=t appeal to mo.
1ir. Fosseen: Have you discussed this with your neighbors?
' Propert,y Owmer: This card is the only information I received. It said the
hearing was on the service station, it dicin't say he was to have an apartment
1Ir. HaTvle,y: Ho could have a home without a public hearing, so that is why
it wasn't on the notice carde
p2r. Clevett: It looks like a wedge to sta.rt a business district*
llr. drahoocf: I live at 2024 North Argonne. In the first place, Mr. Clevett
isntt within 200t. I own the property immediately south, in fact I sold
Mr. Kimbrough the property. I know what he is going to put up in the way

llr. Clovet-t: The land that thie service station ie on, is within 150'
af another garty. This aard he roeoived said that just a svrviee station
was going in, not an apartment. I am opposed to a service station, or any-
thing that would take vaYue frwa my place. I have a new brick home ia the

called on Arthur D. Jones, and he said that a service station close to iay
hvme will dspreaiate my home at least 1/5. Ian opgosed to it.

doesn't appeal to me.

To WxoM iT MAy coNcERx:
At the request of Mr. Kenneth Kimbrough, I have viewed
tihe eite of the propoeed development in the 2000 blook
on North Argonne RoaB where Mr. Kimbrough propoees to
build a permanent etructure; namely, serviae etation,
garage, an8 an apartment dwelling Por hie own use.
Upon entering thiB distriot there ig a large plot of
ground for eale advertised ae bueineee property eiteeM.
Acroes the road ie an ape, rtment houee. Immediately eouth
of this proposed development ie a permanent-type chiagen
farm aontaining all the thinge usually found aroun8 euch
placeet brooder houses, manure dump, eta.
Due to the type ot prope rt ie s f ound here ; ctnimproved
acreages, daellings of queBtionable value; and aoneider-
ing also the iaot that Argonne Road ie a main thoroughfare
upon whieh are to be found market etan88, ete., it har8ly
vomee under the elaeBiPioation generally known as C1asB
One, Reeidential.
It ie my opinion that the type of development planned by
Mr. Rimbrough wi].1 ttot be detrimental to moat partiee
aoneerned in thie area. In faot, it ie the writer'e
belief that euch a develapmeat vould be an aeset to the
major part of the 81 stri ot .
