This letter presents the results of limited site observations that I recently conducted at your request at 4721 and 4725 E. 14th Avenue. The purpose of the work was to measure and evaluate ground surface slopes at the project site. I understand that you plan to begin constructing houses soon at the two subject lots. You indicated that when you applied for the building permits there was some question as to what the ground surface slopes are. On December 23,20041 met with you on site to observe surface conditions. I measured the ground surface slopes in several locations with a"Smart Level",an instrument that can determine slope angles to the nearest 0.1 %. The measured slope angles on the two lots ranged from 12 to 25%and averaged about 15 to 16%. Thank you for the opportunity to assist you with this project.
