Erickson, Spokane County Inspection Supervisor. On August 15, 1991, 1/2" radon and 3/8" pea gravel was delivered to the above referenced jobsite by Central Pre-Mix Concrete Co. On August 19, 1991, the 1/2" material placed on top appeared to be "marginal", and Art requested that I run a sieve test. Results are as follows: 100% Passing 1/2" Sieve 94% Passing 3/8" Sieve 52% Passing 1/4" Sieve 4% Passing #4 Sieve 0.4% Passing #8 Sieve We feel the 1/2" radon placed on top 4" lift may have been accidently mixed with the pea gravel placed below. We feel the job will be adequate for radon abatement as the pea gravel below is approximately 2 - foot thick.
