The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 17-002 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council
on the 7th day of February, 2017:
AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON,
AMENDING SECTION 2.15.050 OF THE SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATING TO
APPOINTMENT/REMOVAL FROM OFFICE,AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO.
Section 1 amends SVMC 2.15.050 by including that the city manager may be removed from office pursuant
to RCW 35A.13.130, 35A.13.140, or pursuant to an employment agreement approved by a majority of the
City Council in an open meeting. Section 2 deals with severability. Section 3 states that Ordinance shall be
in full force and effect five days after date of publication of this Ordinance or a summary thereof in the
official newspaper of the City.
