Attachment "A" ' , Drainage Basin Plan Drainage Report Spokane Industrial Park - South Side of Building 32 _Proiect Descrivtion: This project consists mainly of grading, asphalt installation and drainage using 208 swales. The project area is located along the north side of Euclid Avenue between Sullivan Road and Industrial Park First Street. Soils: In accordance with "Soil Survev, Snokane Countv. Washington, 1968" the soils are identified and categorized as: GgA - Garrison gravelly loam, classified as gravelly, medium textures, somewhat excessively drained soils formed in gravelly glacial deposits. GnB - Garrison very stony loam, similar to Garrison gravelly loam, except that the surface layer is very stony. , This soil group, Garrison, is classified Type "B" soil as per technical release 55 and approved for drywell use as in the "Guidelines for Stormwater Management". uaphic data: Topoa The area adjacent to Building 32 appears to be flowing to existing drywells located in the asphalt. The remaining portion of the site currently drains from north to south and somewhat towards the existing 208 for Euclid. Project grading plans will require cuts to drain the site towards the existing fence, south at approximately 1.25 Demogranhic Data: This area is currently composed of gravel and asphalt surfacing for commercial use. The : project area is used for truck circulation and parking. Upon completion the use is anticipated to remain the same. Rainfall Data: . Data used is in accordance with Figure 2, page 6-3 of the "Guidelines for Stormwater Management", by Spokane County Engineers. A 10 year return frequency event is used since the basins are contained within the site. Drainage Report - Spokane Industrial Park - South Side of Building 32 1 Methods of Runoff Control: Runoff control for both the new and existing asphalt surface contributing to the drainage basins will be by overland flow and controlled drainage. Overland flow will be provided for all paved areas for direct deposit into grassed swales. A portion of the site, which flows towards the existing swale for Euclid Avenue will be routed to the new swales with a Type "C", asphalt curb. Methods of Disnosal: Drywells will be utilized for disposal. They shall be Spokane County Standard Type . "A", as called out on the plans with Spokane County Standard grates. Inlet capacity calculations, where necessary, are included with the calculation sheets. Peak Flow, Volume and Disposal Calculations: a. Hvdrologv Computations The grassed percolation swales were sized to accommodate 1/2 inch of runoff from all required surfaces within the site. This includes both new and existing asphalt. The swales will provide 6" retention depth, as called out on the plans, to allow inf'iltration of the collected runoff. , Drywells were sized to handle total runoff flow within final collection basins. The Bowstring method was used to analyze the runoff in determining numbers and size of drywells. See calculations, sheets 6 through 8. b. Inlet Canacities A Spokane County Standard grate will be used on all drywells. Inlet capacities are calculated to be 1.6 CFS for a flow depth of .2 feet. See calculations on sheet 4. c. Detention/Retention Stora2e Capacities Grass percolation areas were calculated to hold the first 1/2 inch of runoff generated by the impervious surfaces within the project limits. The area provided will be slightly larger than required. Following is a table which shows the swale volume required and provided.
