MICHAEL HUFFMAN being first duly sworn on oath deposes and says that he is the EDITOR of the Spokane Valley News
Herald, a weekly newspaper. That said newspaper is a legal newspaper and it is now and has been for more than six months prior
to the date of publication hereinafter referred to, published in the English language continually as a weekly newspaper in Spokane
County, Washington, and it is now and during all of said time was printed in an office maintained at the aforesaid place of
publication of said newspaper, which said newspaper had been approved as a legal newspaper by order of the Superior Court of
the State of Washington in and for Spokane County. That the following is a true copy of a Legal Notice as it was published in
regular issues commencing on the 3rd day of March, 2017, and ending on the 10th day of March, 2017, all dates inclusive, and

Intersection Project
Notice is hereby given that the City of Spo-
kane Valley, Spokane County, Washington
will accept sealed bids for the SullIvanlEu-
did PCC Intersection Project. The project
consists of traffic signal modifications, storm
drainage upgrades, curb ramp Improve-
ments, pavement resurfacing along with
other related work.
Copies of the bid packet including specifica-
tions and plans maybe obtained in PDF for-
mat at www.cityofspokanevalleyplanroom.
com. To be added to the Planholder's list,
bidders shall download project files or pur-
chase hard copy documents. Any addenda
to this project will be sent only to those listed
on the www.cityofspokanevalleyplanroom.
com Planholder's List. The Planholder's List
is also available at this website. For further

from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
All bids must be accompanied by.a bid
deposit in the form of a suretybond, postal
money order, cash, cashiers check, orcerti-
fied check in an amount equal to five percent
(5%) of the amount of the bid proposed.
Failure to furnish a bid bond in compliance
with the City's bid deposit surety bond form
shall make the bid non-responsive and
cause the bid to be rejected.
Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes
addressed to the City Clerk of the City of
Spokane Valley, 11707 E. Sprague Avenue,
Suite 106, Spokane Valley, Washington,
99206, and received not later than 10:00
AM PDT on Friday, March 24, 2017. Bid
openings will be hell immediately thereafter
and read aloud in. the City Council Cham-
bers, Suite 101.
The City of Spokane Valley reserves the
right towaiveany irregularities or infor-
malities and to reject any or all bids. No
bidder may withdraw his bid after the time
announced forthe bid opening, or before the
award and execution of the contract, unless
the award is delayed fora period exceeding
sixty (60) days.
The City of Spokane Valley in accordance
with Title VI of the Civil Rights Act 011964,
78 Stat.. 252, 42 USC 2000d to 2000d-4
and Title 49, Code of Federal Regulations,
Department of Transportation, Subtitle A,
Office of the Secretary, Part 21, Nondis-
crimination in Federally -Assisted Programs
of the Department of Transportation issued
pursuant to such Act, hereby notifies all
bidders that it will affirmatively ensure that
in any contract entered into pursuant to this
advertisement, disadvantaged business
enterprises as defined at '49 CFR Part 26
will be afforded full opportunity to submit
bids in response to this invitation and will
not be discriminated against on the grounds
of race, color, national origin, or sex in
consideration for an award.
