MICHAEL HUFFMAN being first duly sworn on oath deposes and says that he is the EDITOR of the Spokane Valley News
Herald, a weekly newspaper. That said newspaper is a legal newspaper and it is now and has been for more than six months prior
to the date of publication hereinafter referred to, published in the English language continually as a weekly newspaper in Spokane
County, Washington, and it is now and during all of said time was printed in an office maintained at the aforesaid place of
publication of said newspaper, which said newspaper had been approved as a legal newspaper by order of the Superior Court of
the State of Washington in and for Spokane County. That the following is a true copy of a Legal Notice as it was published in
regular issues commencing on the 24th day of March, 2017, and ending on the 31st day of March, 2017, all dates inclusive,
and that such newspaper was regularly distributed to its subscribers during all of said period:

Cascade Valley Subdivision (SUB -
2017.0001) — Preliminary plat approval to
subdivide 4 acres into 22 residential lots.
Proposed lot sizes will permit single-fam-
ily homes.
Property Owner: Viking Builders, LLC,
19425 E Broadway Ave, Spokane Valley,
WA 99016.
Applicant: Whipple Consulting Engineers,
Inc., 2528 N Sullivan Rd, Spokane Valley,
WA 99216.
Location of Proposal: Tax parcel number
55074.1357 which is a vacant parcel that
is not addressed. kis generally located
adjacent to and north of the intersection of
Mission Ave and Amies Road; further situ-
ated in the SEW of Section 07, Township 25
North, Range 45 East, Willamette Meridian,
Spokane County, Washington.
Approval Criteria: Spokane Valley Munici-
pal Code (SVMC) Tale 20 — Subdivisions,
SVMC 19—Zoning Regulations and SVMC
Title 21 — Environmental Controls, the City
of Spokane Valley Street Standards; the
• Spokane Regional Stormwater Manual;
and the Spokane Regional Health District
regulations.
Hearing Process and Appeals: The Hear-
ing Examiner will conduct the hearing pur-
suant to the rules of procedure adopted in
SVMC Title 18— Boards and Authorities. All
interested persons may testily at the public
hearing and may submit written comments
and documents before or at the hearing.
Any appeal of the Hearing Examiner's deci-
sion will be based on the record established
before the Hearing Examiner, pursuant to
SVMC 17.90 (Appeals). All hearings will be
conducted in facilities that are accessible to
persons with physical disabilities.
Environmental Determination: A Deter-
mination of Non Significance was made
pursuant to WAC 197-11-355. There is
no further comment on the environmental
determination.
Staff Report and Inspection of File: A
staff report will be available for inspection
seven (7) calendar days before the hearing.
The staff report and application file may be
inspected at the Community Development
Department Permit Center, located et the
.City of Spokane Valley City Hall, Ste 106,
11707 E Sprague Ave, between 8:00 am
and 5:00 pm, Monday -Friday, excluding
holidays. Copieo of documents will be made
available ata reasonable cost. If you have
