Attachments: Building Permit-Residential 11-11-11.doc
Derrick,
I talked at length with several building officials and inspectors at the City of Spokane Valley over the last few days. Rob
Guerry had been involved on the front end of this project, but is currently on vacation. We had to review some of the
permitting commitments the city made previously since this project is a special case. Mike Turbak has been assigned to
help us keep this project on track from a permitting standpoint. Because we are repairing fire damage, the verbiage on
the permit needs to be somewhat specific:
• Permit needs to be for remodeling.
• Scope of work is"replacement of fire damaged insulation."
• Value is$3000 (est)
Once you have completed the installation, they will come out and inspect for energy compliance, to make sure the
installation has been done correctly, and to verify the total cost. If you have any questions, please contact Mike Turbak.
Permit cost is$87.75.
Thanks for your help,
Ben
