On the 18 of June, 2004, I ran a level circuit from a known bench mark at the East curb
radius at the Southeast corner of 27th and University to the location of the future shop at
your residence at 10923 E. 26th Avenue.
The elevation of the curb at the East radius at the Southeast quadrant of the intersection
of University and 27 Is 1996.77, per County Road Project No. 2299.
The elevation on the ground where the shop is proposed to be built is as follows:
Northeast corner of proposed shop = 2001.4
Southeast corner of proposed shop = 2001.7
Southwest corner of proposed shop =2001.6
Northwest corner of proposed shop = 2001.3
All elevations are at NGVD 29. The base flood elevation for this area isl999.0.

We reviewed a request dated October 30, 1998, for a Letter of Map Amendment. All required information for this
request was received on November 24, 1998. Using the information submitted and the effective National Flood
Insurance Program (NFIP) map, we determined portions of the property described below are in a Special Flood
Hazard Area (SFHA), the area that would be inundated by the flood having a 1 -percent chance of being equaled or
exceeded in any given year (base flood); however, the three structures on the property are not in the SFHA.
Property Description: The west 12 feet of Lot 2, Lot 3, and the east 21 feet of Lot 4, Block 29; the west
10 feet of Lot 2, the east 24 feet of Lot 4, the west 42 feet of Lot 6, and the east
42 feet of Lot 7, Block 30, Kokomo Townsite, as shown on the Plat recorded in
Volume J, Page 50, in the Office of the Recorder, Spokane County, Washington
Street Addresses: 10812, 11012, and 10926 East 25th Avenue
Flooding Source: Chester Creek
This letter amends the above -referenced NFIP map to remove the three structures from the SFHA. The structures
are now in Zone C, an area of minimal flooding outside the SFHA. Flood insurance coverage for the. structures may
be available under a low -cast policy (see enclosed document). Because portions of the property remain in the SFHA,
any future construction or substantial improvement on the property remains subject to Federal, State, and local
regulations for floodplain management.
