File Number: CTA -2017-0001 Description of proposal: City -initiated Code Text Amendment to Spokane Val- ley Municipal Code (SVMC) to eliminate section 19.65.020 Agriculture and Animal Keeping regulations, and establish chapter 19.78 with Urban Farming and Animal Keeping Regulations to regulate agricultural activities and animal keeping activities in residential zones. Proponent: City of Spokane Valley Com- munity Development Department, 11707 E Sprague Ave, Suite 106, Spokane Valley, WA 99206 Hearing Procedures and Appeals: The Spokane Valley Planning Commission will conduct the hearing pursuant to Planning Commission rules of procedu re. Interested persons may testify at the public hearing and may submit written comments and documents before or at the hearing. The Planning Commission may limit the time given to speakers. The Planning Commis- sion will forward a recommendation on the proposed amendment to the Spokane Valley City Council. Appeals shall be pursuant. to SVMC 19,90 Appeals. Environmental Determination: The determination is being issued pursuant to WAC 197-11-355 using the Optional DNS process.
