In consideration of the issuance of the permit for the erection of signs the grantee must place the said signs where directed by County Officials and shall remove the said sign at the expiration of the permit unless ass regularly renewed. FERGEN, Director February 16, 1977 Re: Request for letter concerning Mrs. Boeck's residence at E. 11216 — 37th Ave. Dear Mr. Dyreson: A final inspection of this residence was never called for by the builder. This inspection is required by state and county codes pr -..or to occ•..tpancy The first indication of any problem was when the fire depart— ment called and requested we make a special inspection on the fire— place. On January 18, 1977 I went out to this address to inspect these fireplaces. I found both fireplaces to be defective. The mortor , on the upstairs fire place, letting is falling out above the fire box smoke come up through the front of the fireplace. The same thing applies to the one in the basement. Owner also indicated she had other complaints about the house. This is what I found wrong which does not comply with the Uniform Building Codes: 1. No handrail in basement from garage entrance. Also no self closer for the door between the garage and residence. 2. Gaurd rail to baseuint stairway not 36" high. 3. "Beam in basement spanned 111611, (used 3 — 211x1011) and is carrying floor load which can only span 101. 4. Dishwasher leakes. 5. Toilet in master bedroom does not flush correctly. 6. Basement floor and foundation walls have some hair line crackes. I indicated to Mrs. Boeck that the cracks are normal and in my opinion do not create any indication of settlement. Jerry T.
