Re: Basement Wall Window Lintel Allowable Loads
The following are allowable loads for the 12"high concrete lintels over basement
wall windows. The loads were determined considering reinforcing in the lintel
consisting of(2) #4 grade 60 rebar located at 7" from the top of the wall.
For the 4.-3"wide lintels the allowable uniform load Is 2900 pif or a concentrated
load at the center of 6200 lbs.
For the 5'-3"wide lintels the allowable uniform load is 1830 pIf or a concentrated
load at the center of 4900 lbs.
For the 6'3"wide lintels the allowable uniform load Is 1300'plf or a concentrated
load at the center of 4050 lbs.
