WORK TO INCLUDE
Background:
Issue#1-Bollard Revision
The City's Parks and Recreation Department requested to revise the bollard type specified in the Contract. The
Contract refers to WSDOT standard plan H-60.10-01 for the bollard type. The same bollard was installed in the first
phase of the Appleway Trail (University to Pines)and the department has had issues maintaining these bollards,
especially with their locking capabilities. The department requests that this project use the same bollards that have
been used throughout the City's park system.

T.LaRivere Equipment&Excavating submitted price quote on 4/18/17
Issue#2-Existing Irrigation Encountered
Existing irrigation systems that serve abutting properties have been encounter during the excavation and grading
operations within the project limits. These irrigation lines were not identified in the Contract and the Contract does
not account for any work to reconfigure/move the existing irrigation systems out of the project improvements.
Issue#3-Existing Chain Link Fence Modifications
Additional sections of chain link fence(See FWD#2)need to be removed in order to install planned landscape
improvements. These sections are at the ends of chain link fence runs where there are special pull posts. Removing
these end post require converting the last remaining fence post into a pull post. The Contract does not account for
