MICHAEL HUFFMAN being first duly sworn on oath deposes and says that he is the EDITOR of the Spokane Valley News
Herald, a weekly newspaper. That said newspaper is a legal newspaper and it is now and has been for more than six months prior
to the date of publication hereinafter referred to, published in the English language continually as a weekly newspaper in Spokane
County, Washington, and it is now and during all of said time was printed in an office maintained at the aforesaid place of
publication of said newspaper, which said newspaper had been approved as a legal newspaper by order of the Superior Court of
the State of Washington in and for Spokane County. That the following is a true copy of a Legal Notice as it was published in
regular issues commencing on the 24th day of November, 2017, and ending on the 1st day of December, 2017, all dates
inclusive, and that such newspaper was regularly distributed to its subscribers during all of said period:

The Spokane Valley Planning Commis-
sion will hold a public hearing December
14, 2017 at City Hall Council Chambers,
10210 East Sprague Avenue, at 6:00 p.m.,
to receive public testimony on the follow-
ing proposal.
File Number: CTA -2017-0003
Description of proposal: City -initiated
code text amendment to SVMC Title 20,
Chapter 2020; General Provisions 10 ad-
dress illegal lots and innocent purchasers,
eliminate Inconsistencies with SVMC Title
19 resulting from the 2016 Comprehensive
Plan legislative update, make clarifications
and minor grammatical changes; and modify
the definition of flag lot in Appendix A.
Proponent: City of Spokane Valley Com-
munity and Public Works Department,

Hearing Procedures and Appeals: The
Spokane Valley Planning Commission will
conduct the hearing pursuant to Planning
Commission rules of procedure. Interested
persons may testify at the public hearing
and may submit written comments and
documents before or at the hearing. The
Planning Commission may limit the time
given 10 speakers. The Planning Commis-
sion will forward a recommendation on the
proposed amendment to the Spokane Valley
City Council. Appeals shall be pursuant to
SVMC 17.90 Appeals.
Environmental Determination: The
text amendment is categorically exempt
from environmental review pursuant to
WAG 197-11-800(19)(b). The proposed
amendment will not result in substantive
changes respecting use or modification of
the environment.
Staff Report and Inspection of File: A
staff report will be available for inspection
seven (7) calendar days prior to the hear-
ing, at Spokane Valley City Hall, 10210
East Sprague Avenue, between 8:00 am
and 5:00 pm, Monday -Friday, excluding
holidays. Please send written comments
