Re: Installation of Fence along Rear Property Line of 2117 North Dora
Recently, you inquired about the ability to build a six (6) foot high fence along the rear
property line of your property addressed as 2117 North Dora further identified as Parcel No.
351240306, Your property is located between Dora Road and Bradley Road, both of which
are public streets. You are hereby notified that you are allowed to construct a maximum six
(6) foot high fence along your rear property line abutting Bradley Road pursuant to Section
14.810020 (Fences) [see attached] of the Spokane Valley Interim Zoning Code. In addition,
you are allowed to construct a maximum six (6) foot high fence along your side property
lines abutting the lots immediately north and south of your property. Pursuant to Section
14 810.020 of the Spokane Valley Interim Zoning Code, any fencing within the required front
yard setback of your property (i e. twenty-five foot wide section measured from your property
line at Dora Road back into the property) is height limited. In this instance, the maximum
height of fencing within this setback area is three (3) feet high if it is sight-obscuring (e.g.
cannot be seen through such as wood or vinyl fence) and four (4) feet high if it can be seen
through (e g. cyclone fence).
