CALL TO ORDER: The meeting was called to order at approximately
10:50 a.m, by the Department of Buildings Code Compliance
Coordinator Tom Davis, with the following in attendance.

SCOPE/PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
I. General Overview - The owner Grafos Investments is proposing
the construction of a 1,402 square foot addition to an auto repair
shop. The proposed will be classified as a B-1 Occupancy.
SIIMMARY OF DEPARTMENTAL REOUIREMENTS:
I. Planning Department (456-2205)
A. Discussion/Requirements
1. The parcel number submitted no longer exits, please
submit the correct parcel number for the site. The
proposed may be located on more than one parcel. Please
include a vicinity map on the revised site plan.
2. The proposed is located in a B-3 Zone, the building
permit application indicated that-the proposed is located
in a commercial zone. Tom Davis stated that the zone will
be corrected on the building permit.
3. Please submit a revised site plan illustrating the
dimensions of the property, and the dimensions of the
building.

4. The parking and landscaping as shown•on the site plan

B. Permit Release Requirements
1. Submit a revised site plan as described above for
review and approval.
II. Engineering Department (456-3600)
A. Discussion/Requirement
Zil.~'Comments were given to the applicant and Building and
Safety by Bob Turner.

Z 2- Please submit a revised drainage plan that is in
conformance with Spokane County Guidelines for Stormwater
Management.
3. An Agreement to Pay Fees was submitted to the
applicant during the meeting. The agreement is to be
signed by the owner and returned to the Engineering
Department. Plan review will not be completed until this
document is executed.
B. Permit Release Requirements
1. Please submit a revised site plan as described above
for review and approval.
2. Please submit a copy of the Agreement to Pay Fees
signed by the owner.
III. Health District (456-6040)
A. Discussion/Requirements
1. The water purveyor for the proposed is Modern Electric
Water Co. (456-8000.)
B. Permit Release Requirements
1. The Health District has released their portion of the
building permit.

A. Discussion/Requirements
1. One additional hydrant is required to be installed
prior to occupancy. The location is to be approximately
at the south east corner of a building in order to
minimize cutting of asphalt.
2. A lock (Knox) box entry system for fire department
personnel access is required to be installed.
V. Department of Buildings (456-3675)
A. Discussion/Requirements
1. Plan review has been completed on preliminary plans
and a letter was sent to the applicant by Tom Postlewait.
2. The proposed shall meet the minimum requirements of
the Regulations for Barrier-Free Facilities.
3. Please submit a critical materials list to the
Department of Buildings for review.
4. Draftstop shall be installed in the proposed building.
5. Please submit truss diagrams for review.
6. Please indicate the type of heating system and submit
heat loss calculations for review.
7. Floor drains are to be reviewed by the Department of
Ecology and the Health District.
B. Permit Release Requirements
1. Two complete revised sets of plans addressing the
items discussed during and after the meeting and other
items from the plan review letter needs to be submitted
for review and approval.
APPLICANT'8 COMMENTS/ACRNOWLEDGEMENT:
The applicant acknowledged that all comments/requirements were
understood and had no further questions at this time regarding
permit requirements.

all that he should be contacted if there are any unforeseen problems
which may arise.
