2018, 03-30 RFP Storm Drain Cleaning Services (S/R)1 REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS SVPW 18-013 STORM DRAIN CLEANING SERVICES CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY COMMUNITY AND PUBLIC WORKS DEPARTMENT Notice is hereby given that the City of Spokane Valley, Washington will accept sealed bid proposals for Storm Drain Cleaning Services from respon- sible contractors(s). The work includes the regular and as - needed cleaning of culverts, pipes, vaults, drywells, catch basins, inlets, and other stormwater facilities. The Con- tractor will be required to supply an Eductor-equipped truck continuously and full-time during non-freezing weather for approximately six months and associated traffic control for arterial streets as required. Collected debris will be transported and disposed of by the Contractor to locations as directed by the City. The proposed contract term shall be for a period of May 2018 through December 31, 2018 with up to four (4)• additional option years which may be excercised by the City at its discretion. Additional option years shall start and coincide on or about each January and end December 31, from 2019 up to and including 2022. The estimated probable cost for this work in 2018 is $190,000. An internal bid opening will take place within one working day of the afore- mentioned date. All bid proposals must be accompanied by a deposit in the farm of a surety bond, postal money order, cash, cashier's check, or certified check in an amount .equal to five percent (5%) of the amount of the price proposal. The successful bidder will be required to provide a performance bond for the entire work prior to entering into a contract with the City and will be required to pay prevailing wages for the wark to be performed. The City retains the right to reject any and all bids and to waive minor irregularities in the solicitation process.
