PERMIT REVIEW PARTICIPANTS: Tom Davis, Building and Safety Ken Jeffrey, Building and Safety John Pederson, Planning Department Julie Shatto, Building and Safety Daryl Way, Health District APPLICANTS: Dave Fischer, North 1323 Cedar Street, Spokane, 99201, Phone No. 325-4573 Bill Houk, Contractor/Architect, North 1323 Cedar Street, Spokane, 99201, Phone No. 325-4573 SCOPE/PR4JECT DESCRIPTION: I. General Overview The Pines Cemetery Association is proposing to construct a mausoleum addition to the existing mausoleum. The Association felt a need for a larger area for people to gather. The addition will include additional crypts, restrooms, storage area, and a flower room. The site will be provided with domestic water for the restrooms and flower room. SUMMARY OF DEPARTMENTAI� REOUIREMENTS: I. Planning Department (456-2205) A. Discussion/Requirements 1. John Pederson had no comments on the proposed project and signed off on the permit. II. Engineering (456-3600) A. Discussion/Requirements 1. The Engineer's Department was not present but had signed off on the permit prior to the preconstruction conference. 1 r �-f III. Health District (456-6040) A. Discussion/Requirements 1. It was stated that the distance between the well and the existing mausoleum is 300 to 400 feet. Instead of connecting to the existing well, there will be connection to Modern Elec�.ric 2. For the sewage system a 1,000 gallon septic tank, 150 linear feet of drainfield, and 2 foot wide trenches will be sufficient to process 240 gallons of sewage per day. This design would be acceptable to the Health Department. Application for the septic tank permit needs to be completed. 3. A 10 foot separation between the drainfield and the beginning of the "208" area needs to be maintained. 4. Daryl Way will check to make sure that Pounders Excavating is a licensed installer. If they are not, then a license will need to be obtained by Pounders or they may subcontract the installation out. B. Permit Release Requirements 1. Daryl Way stated that he would release for footings and foundations only. A permit for the sewage system needs to be applied for and test holes approved prior to the full release of the permit. IV. Utilities Department (456-3604) A. Discussion/Requirements 1. The Utilities Department was not present but comments were given to Tom Davis prior to the conference. Comments on double plumbing were said to be adequate as shown and a ULID statement is required. (The ULID statement can be obtained at the Health Department). V. Building and Safety (456-3675) A. Discussion/Requirements 1. An addendum to the plan review has been completed and will be attached to the plans. The items in the addendum are nothing that require plan review changes, however, the applicant needs to be aware of these items when ordering materials. 2 2. The applicant needs to comply with the Northwest Energy Code. Ken Jeffrey will give the applicant a list of the energy requirements and will discuss each item and alternatives after the meeting. B. Permit Release Requirements 1. Compliance with the NWEC will need to be satisfied prior to release of the permit. APPLICANT�B COMMENTS/ACRNOWLEDGEMENT: The applicant acknowledged that all comments/requirements were understood. The applicant had no further questions at this time regarding permit requirements. CORRECTIONS: To minutes or changes from what appears in the minutes, we should be notified within one day of your receipt of these minutes. To plans as required by any or all of the above-listed departments shall be submitted in sets of 7 to Building and Safety who will then distribute accordingly to each department. ADJOURNMENT: There being no further business, Tom Davis thanked the applicant and the departments for their participation and reminded all that he should be contacted if there are any unforeseen problems which may arise.
