MICHAEL HUFFMAN being first duly sworn on oath deposes and says that he is the EDITOR of the Spokanc Valley News
Herald. a weekly newspaper. That said newspaper is a legal newspaper and it is now and has been for more than six months prior
to the date of publication hereinafter referred to, published in the English language continually as a weekly newspaper in Spokane
County, Washington, and it is now and during all of said time was printed in an office maintained at the aforesaid place of
publication of said newspaper, which said newspaper had been approved as a legal newspaper by order of the Superior Court of
the State of Washington in and for Spokane County. That the following is a true copy of a Legal Notice as it was published in
regular issues commencing on the 2nd day of November, 2018, and ending on the 23rd day of November, 2018, all dates
inclusive, and that such newspaper was regularly distributed to its subscribers during all of said period:

PLANNING COMMISSION OPENINGS
The City of Spokane Valley seeks three
members to serve on the City Of Spokane
Valley's Planning Commission. Terms are
for three -years. The Commission stud-
ies and makes recommendations to the
City Council for future planned growth as
directed by the City Council. Qualifications
include having an interest in planning, land
use, transportation, capital infrastructure,
and building and landscape design as evi-
denced by training, experience, or interest
in the City of Spokane Valley. Commission
members are nominated by the Mayor and
confirmed by a majority vote of at least four
members of the City Council. The appoint-
ments are tentatively scheduled to be made
at the January 8, 2019 Council meeting.
Members are selected without respect to
political affiliations and serve without com-
pensation. Members must reside within
the city limits of Spokane Valley. The
Commission generally meets at 6:00 p.m.
on the 2nd and 4th Thursdays. Applications
may be obtained from the City's website at

by contacting Chris Bainbridge, City Clerk,
509-720-5102. Applications should be sub-
mitted to Spokane Valley City Clerk Chris
Bainbridge, and received no laterthan 4:00
p.m., Friday, December 7, 2018. The term
for these positions will begin January 1,
2019. Please note that at this point, two of
the three incumbents have indicated they
will seek re -appointment.
