Sprague Spokane Valley,WA 99206 (509) 720-5000 NOTICE OF ORDINANCE PASSED BY SPOKANE VALLEY CITY COUNCIL The following is the title and summary of Ordinance No. 19-001 passed by the Spokane Valley City Council on the 8°i day of January, 2019: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SPOKANE VALLEY, SPOKANE COUNTY, WASHINGTON AMENDING CHAPTER 19.70 OF THE SPOKANE VALLEY MUNICIPAL CODE RELATED TO OPEN SPACE REQUIREMENTS IN THE MIXED USE ZONES,AND OTHER MATTERS RELATING THERETO. Section 1 states that the purpose of this Ordinance is to amend SVMC 19.70.020 and 19.70.050 to eliminate the open space requirements for residential development in the mixed use zones. Section 2 makes certain Findings and Conclusions as noted in the Ordinance. Section 3 amends 19.70.020 by eliminating the statement "In the CMU and MU zones, multifamily development shall provide open space pursuant to SVMC 19.70.050(G)." Section 4 amends 19.70.050 by eliminating `G' concerning providing 210 square feet of open space per dwelling unit as noted in the ordinance. Section 5 states that other sections of Title 19 SVMC not specifically referenced hereto shall remain in full force and effect.
