SALARY COMMISSION SCHEDULE
Notice is hereby given that the City of Spo-
kane Valley Salary Commission was formed
pursuant to Washington State law and
Spokane Valley Municipal Code (SVMC)
2.10.020. The purpose of the Commission
is to review and establish the salaries
of the Mayor and Council. The Commis-
sion submitted the finalized schedule of
salaries to the City Clerk January 8, 2019.
That schedule is required to be published
twice, at least one week apart, in the of-
ficial newspaper of the City. The dates of
publication in the City's official newspaper
are January 18, and 25. 2019. The second
publication date of January 25, 2019, shall
be considered the official filing date of the
salary schedule.
The monthly salary schedule is as follows:
Current New
Mayor $975 $1,775
Councilmember $750 $1.415
Please note that the Salary Commission's
adopted salary schedule is subject to
referendum petition by the people of the
City. A valid petition would need to be filed
with the City Clerk within 30 days after the
official filing date of the salary schedule.
The deadline 10 file a petition with the City
Clerk Is 5:00 p.m. local time,
February 25, 2019.
