As you know, we do not separately bill clients for routine operating costs,preferring instead to absorb them within our rate structure. Rate increases also are appropriate to reflect the higher value of services provided by now more experienced lawyers. Of course,these increases will be applied only to the extent they are consistent with the terms and conditions of any existing engagement agreements, and are not applicable to our fixed fee arrangements for bond or disclosure counsel services. One of our core values is to provide top quality legal services on a cost-effective basis. Please be assured that any rate increases have been made with fidelity to that principle in mind. In accordance with the notice procedure included in our contract with the City of Spokane Valley,we request the following annual increases.
