For good and valuable consideration,the legal sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged,City and the
Argus Integrated Services,LLC dba Argus Janitorial mutually agree as follows:
1 Pu pose. This Amendment is for the Contract for janitorial services at City Hall,the Precinct building
and the Maintenance Shop by and between the Parties,executed by the Parties on September 152017,and
which terminates on December 31,2020. Said contract shall be referred to as the"Original Contract"and
its terms are hereby incorporated by reference. Total compensation under the Ongnal Contract is not to
exceed$109,385.40.
2.Onginal Contract Provisions:The Parties agree to continue to abide by those terms and conditions of the
Ongnal Contract and any amendments thereto which are not specifically modified by this Amendment.
3. Amendment Provisions: This Amendment is subject to the following amended provisions, which are
either as follows,or attached hereto as Appendix"A". All such amended provisions are hereby incorporated
by reference herein and shall control over any conflicting provisions of the Original Contract, including
any previous amendments thereto.
4. Compensation Amendment History. This is Amendment #0l of the Original Contract. The history of
amendments to the compensation on the Original Contract and all amendments is as follows:

Subject: prevailing wage/price increase
Good morning,
On August 31,2018 the Building Service Employee's prevailing wage rate for janitorial increased from$14.20/hour to
$14.50/hour. Per WAC code 296-127-023, prevailing wage rates have to be altered manually on an annual basis to
reflect the most recent prevailing wage. The increase in prevailing wage is a pass through cost so we should have
adjusted the contract price at the same time that we increased our janitors wages. Due to an oversight,we missed
passing along the increase. The increase in wages impacts only the labor cost and not overhead, equipment/supplies or
profit. The new monthly contract price will be$9,229.99 per month and breaks down as follows:
- City Hall-$6,487.90
- Valley Sheriff Precinct-$2,654.54
- Street&Stormwater Maintenance Facility-$87.55
This increase should have gone into effect October 1, 2018. Please advise on the steps we need to take to put the new
pricing into place.
We apologize for any inconvenience the delay in communicating this increase may cause.
