2019, 06-17 Planning Commission Opening (S/R)CRY OF SPOKANE VALLEY PLANNING COMMISSION OPENING The City of Spokane Valley seeks one member to serve on the City's Planning Commission as . an interim commissioner to serve until December 31, 2019. The purpose of the Commission is to study and make recommendations to the City Council for future planned growth through continued review of the City's comprehensive land use plan, development regulations,' shoreline management, environ- mental protection, public facilities, capital improvements, and other matters as directed by the City Council. Qualifications include having an interest in planning, land use, transportation, capital infrastructure, and building and landscape design as evidenced by' training or experience; or interest in the City of Spokane Valley. Members of the Commission shall be nominated by the Mayor and confirmed by a majority vote of the City Council. Members are selected without respect to political affiliations and serve without compensation. Members must reside within the city limits of Spokane Valley. The Planning Commission generally meets at 6:00 p.m. on second and fourth Thursdays.
