Subject: RE: Demo Permits - Process Question(s)
Mike,
Yes, that does sound weird to me, especially in light of the fact that I spoke to Jeff Forry - Sr. Permit
Tech (before he left the county) and later with Ken Jeffrey - Sr. Permit Tech (I think Ken has just
recently retired) about the need for a sewer abandonment permit for any building that is connected to
the county sewer system. I provided them with copies of the Spokane County Sanitary Sewer
Ordinance that pretains to the issue. I also pointed out to them that the need for a "sewer
abandonment" permit is stated on THEIR handout titled SEWER CONNECTION PERMITS B-7. I was
told by both Jeff Forry and Ken Jeffery that they would inform their permit techs. I guess that we need
to talk to them again. I'll keep you posted.
Thanks

Subject: Demo Permits - Process Question(s)
Hey Roger,
I just spoke with Carol at Larson's Demolition about the process for issuance of Demo
Permits here in the Valley and she said that we are the only ones requiring the issuance
of a permit from the county for the abandonment of a sewer connection and that the
county specifically does not require them to do it when they get permits there on the first
floor . . . sound weird?
