Description of Work
To improve safety by developing a grade separated facility at the intersection of Pines Road and the BNSF Railway railroad tracks
Other major work associated with this project includes modifications to the intersection of Pines Road and SR290(Treat Avenue)
and closing the Pines/BNSF and University/BNSF Railway at-grade intersections in the City of Spokane Valley,Washington The
design development will expand on the Concept Design and Plans prepared as part of the Bridging the Valley project completed in
2004.
The Local Agency of City of Spokane Valley
desires to supplement the agreement entered in to with HDR Engineering,Inc.
and executed on July 27.2017 and identified as Agreement No. 17-098
All provisions in the basic agreement remain in effect except as expressly modified by this supplement.
The changes to the agreement are described as follows:

Section 1, SCOPE OF WORK, is hereby changed to mad:
No change The BNSF nght-of-entry permit is set to expire on October 9,2019.To extend the permit one year to October 9,2020
HDR must sign a supplemental agreement and pay an addihonal fee of $1,433 A time extension was also added to more accurately
reflect the completion date

Section IV, TIME FOR BEGINNING AND COMPLETION, is amended to change the number of calendar days
for completion of the work to read' Contract completion date is revised to 12/31/21. _

Section V, PAYMENT, shall be amended as follows.

SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT
This SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT, made this day of
2019, subject to the terms and conditions set forth in the original agreement, between BNSF
RAILWAY COMPANY, a Delaware corporation, its successors and assigns, (hereinafter called
"Licensor") and HDR ENGINEERING.A Nebraska corporation (hereinafter called "Licensee").
RECITALS:
Licensor and Licensee are now parties to an agreement dated October 9, 2018,
Licensor's Contract No. BF83499/ 18-60367, together with any and all modifications,
supplements and amendments thereto (hereinafter called "Original Contract"), relating to a
temporary occupancy for conducting a topographical survey and non-environmental soil boring
within and adjacent to Railroad RNV required for design roadway grade separation near N.
Pines Road near Line Segment: 0045, Mile Post: 62.61 to Mile Post 64.40.
AGREEMENT:
IN CONSIDERATION of the sum of Eight Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($800.00) to be
paid to Licensor by Licensee upon execution of this Supplemental Agreement as a one-time
charge for preparation and administration of this Supplemental Agreement, it is mutually agreed
that the following modification(s)will be made to the Original Contract:

Contract:
1. The term of the agreement is changed from expiring on October 9, 2019 to
expire on October 9, 2020.
As herein modified, the Original Contract shall continue in full force and effect.
