We discussed the process and data requirements that will be necessary for evaluating the proposed replacement of a mobile home and potential garage/shop construction. I have outlined the process discussed below, which is partially based upon an e-mail you sent to me on September 5t" 1. The current effective model cross sections and flows will be obtained in paper format from Spokane County. 2. A model will be developed in HEC-RAS by manually entering the cross sections and flows into HEC-RAS to create the duplicate effective model. This model will be limited to the general vicinity of the subject property. 3. A site visit will be necessary to verify the information and channel characteristics as assumed in the duplicate effective model are valid. 4. Additional cross sections will be added at the upstream and downstream property lines in addition to at least one representative cross section through the site where the improvements are to occur. The results of this model will be used as the basis for comparison, IE the existing conditions model. 5. Modify the model to include the post -project improvements. A topographic survey will be required for the subject property; however the entire floodplain will not need to be resurveyed. With this method we will meet or exceed the level of detail of the original study. Please review and pass along to Joe for his concurrence. It would be helpful for the applicant and the City to review and concur to this proposed path of action. Thank you, STORHAUG ENGINEERING 14;kavt, Erick Fitzpatrick 1
