Dear Mr. Landa:
It is our understanding that the contractors at 11819 E Marietta have been hooking up to the
water at 11815 Marietta. This is in violation of Irvin Water District By-laws, Sections 19 and
20. You have been previously fined for hooking up a meter without authorization. This is your
second penalty. Our next Board meeting will be on March 12 at 4:30 P.M. Any questions
should be directed to the Board of Commissioners of Irvin Water District. The fine shall be
billed to Account#49067.0.
"SECTION 19: Restriction on Furnishing Water to Other Persons/Property. No owner or
lessee of property shall furnish water to any other person or property without first obtaining a
permit to do so from the Board of Commissioners. In the event of violation,the violating party
shall pay double the minimum charge as per classification, and, in addition,the Board of
Commissioners may at their discretion,turn the water off, for which a service charge of$25.00
for reinstatement of water service will be made.
SECTION 20: Tampering with Valves, Meters, and Hydrants. It shall be a violation for any
person or persons to open or shut any main valve without permission of the Water Manager or
to tamper with or injure any water meter or hydrant. Any violation thereof shall be subject to a
one hundred fifty dollar($150) fine plus the cost of repairing or replacing the main valve,meter,
or hydrant."
