Evergreen Road Spokane Valley, WA 99216 RE: Accessory Dwelling Unit Application(ADU-01-12) Dear Ms. Souala, We have received your application for an accessory dwelling submitted to our office on January 20th. Upon review of the application,the following items have been identified which need to be addressed prior to approving your application. a) A final inspection and approval for the placement of the primary dwelling (relocated structure)needs to be completed. You may contact the Permit Center at 509-720-5240 for information on how to obtain an inspection. b) Section 19.40.100 SVMC outlines specific criteria for accessory dwelling units. The following items must be met prior to approval: a. One paved off-street parking space shall be required for the dwelling unit in addition to the off-street parking required for the main residence. b. The ADU shall be designed to meet the appearance of a single-family residence and must be the same or visually match the principal dwelling unit in the type, size and placement of the following: exterior finish materials,roof pitch,trim, windows.
