RE: Unsafe Building - North 2602 Elizabeth Road
Dear Ms. Ward:
This letter is in regards to reports received by this office
concerning the unsafe conditions of a building on your property
located at the above -referenced address, Spokane County parcel
number 12531-5001. A recent on -site inspection found that these
conditions are a potential hazard to safety, health and public
welfare.
A December 27, 1990 inspection by the district building inspector
confirms the report in that:
1. Residence gutted by fire
2. Structure is not secured and is accessible
Pursuant to Section 3.03.021(d) of Title 3, Spokane County Code,
every building or structure or portion thereof remaining after fire
or other destructive or nondestructive forces which no longer
qualifies as a building or structure shall be brought into compliance
with the site clean-up requirements found in Section 3.03.021(d) of
the county code.
Specifically, and in accordance with the provisions of Section
3.03.021(d) of Title 3, a period of sixty (60) days from the date of
receipt of this notice is being extended to bring your property into
compliance by completing the demolition of said building in
accordance with established codes and procedures.
Further, the building has been posted with "Do Not Enter -Unsafe to
Occupy" notices which shall remain posted until such time as the
above -noted items are corrected.
Enclosed find a copy of applicable code requirements for the
demolition of a building.
