19C. Critical Materials Handbook:
A document prepared specifically to assist in the administration of this
ordinance and containing examples of best management practices which may
be employed to meet the performance criteria of this ordinance as
associated with critical materials.
19D. Critical Materials Use Activity:
An activity or land use which has been determined, according to the
procedures of this ordinance, to use, transport or store a critical
material.
19E. Day Care Facilities:
1. A facility furnishing care, supervision and guidance of a child or
group of children up to twelve (12) years of age or under for a
period of more than four (4) hours, but less than twenty-four (24)
hours, per day which facility meets all state and local licensing
requirements.
2. There are three types of day care facilities further defined as
follows:
a. Family Day Care Home: A home• which regularly provides care
during part of the twenty-four hour day to six (6) or fewer
children in the dwelling unit of the person(s) under whose
direct care and supervision .the child(ren) is placed. The
definition of capacity is increased or limited in accordance
with WAC 388-73-422;
Mini Day Care Center: A facility for the care of twelve (12)
or fewer children in a facility other than the dwelling unit
of the person(s) under whose direct care or supervision a
child(ren) is placed, or for the care of seven (7) to twelve
(12) children in the dwelling unit of such person(s).
c. Day Care Center: A facility for the care of thirteen (13) or
more chidren with resident or non-resident license(s). No day
care center shall be located in a dwelling unit unless that
portion of the dwelling unit to which the children have access
is used exclusively for the children during the hours the
center is in operation or is separate from the usual living
quarters of the family.
19F. Department, Designated:
The department or office in charge of the major licensing or permitting
duties shall be the Designated Department, unless otherwise agreed to by
the other involved departments or offices. In the event of uncertainty,
the County Administrative Officer shall assign Designated Department
status.
