Notice is hereby given that the City of Spo-
kane Valley, Spokane County, Washington
will accept sealed bids forthe Browns Park
Playground and Shelter. Project consists
ol: Demolition of exioting site improvements
including playground equipment, sidewalk
and other improvements. Construction
includes grading, underground utilities,
concrete curb, concrete flatwork, eledrical
installation (new restroordshelter lighting
and site lighting), site preparation and instal-
lation of new pre -manufactured restroom,
new pre -manufactured shelter, and new
playground equipment with poured -in -place
resilient surfacing and engineered wood
fiber surfacing, irrigation and landscaping,
and other related work, all in accordance
with the Contract Provisions and Plans.
Copies of the bid packet including specifi-
cations and plans may be obtained in PDF

m. To be added to the Planholder's
list, bidders shall download protect files
or purchase hard copy documents. Any
addenda to this project will be sent only to
those listed on the www cityolspokaneval-
leyplanrnnm com Planholder's List. The
Planholders List is also available at this

All bids must be accompanied by a bid
deposit in the form of a surety bond, postal
money order, cash, cashier's check, orcerti-
fied check in an amount equal to five percent
(5%) of the amount of the bid proposed.

Failure to furnish a bid bond in compliance
with the City's bid deposit surety bond loan
shall make the bid non -responsive and
cause the bid to be rejected.
Bids must be submitted in sealed envelopes
addressed to the City Clerk of the City of
Spokane Valley, 10210 E. Sprague Avenue,
Spokane Valley, Washington, 99206 and
received not later than 10:00 AM (Pacific
Time) September 11, 2020. Bid openings
will be held Immediately thereafter and
read aloud at the City of Spokane Valley
City Hall.
The City of Spokane Valley reserves the
right to waive any irregularities or infor-
malities and to reject any or all bids. No
bidder may withdraw his bid after the time
announced forthe bid opening, or before the
award and execution of the contract, unless
the award is delayed fora period exceeding
sixty (60) days.
The City of Spokane Valley, in accordance
with the provisions of Title VI of the Civil
Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252, 42 U.S.C.
§§ 2000d to 2000d-4) and the Regula-
tions, hereby notifies all bidders that it
will affirmatively ensure that any contract
entered into pursuant to this advertisement,
disadvantaged business enterprises will be
afforded full and fair opportunity to submit
bids in response to this invitation and will
not be discriminated against on the grounds
of race, color, or national origin in consider-
-etion for an award.
The City of Spokane Valley in accordance
with Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act
(Section 504) and the Americans with
Disabilities Act (ADA), commits to nondis-
