For good and valuable consideration,the legal sufficiency of which is hereby acknowledged, City and the
Contractor mutually agree as follows:
1. Purpose: This Amendment is for the Contract for the lease of classroom space at CenterPlace Regional
Event Center by and between the Parties,executed by the Parties on October 1,2019,and which terminates
on September 30, 2024. Said contract is referred to as the "Original Contract" and its terms are hereby
incorporated by reference.
2.Original Contract Provisions:The Parties agree to continue to abide by those terms and conditions of the
Original Contract and any amendments thereto which are not specifically modified by this Amendment.
3.Amendment`Provisions:This Amendment is subject to the following amended provisions as follows. All
such amended provisions are hereby incorporated by reference herein and shall control over any conflicting
provisions of the Original Contract, including any previous amendments thereto.
Due to the restrictions related to COVID-19,the Community Colleges of Spokane have been unable to
utilize CenterPlace Regional Event Center since March 2020. The terms of the lease are modified as
follows as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic.
-CCS is released from making lease paymentsfor use of CenterPlace after July 31 2020 until
reinstatement of the lease.
-Beginning August 1,2020,the tease agreement is suspended for up to 24 months.CCS may opt
to reinstate the lease agreement or terminate the lease agreement without penalty by giving the City at
least 30 days' advance written notice.
-CCS shall remove any CCS property from CenterPlace by 4:00 p.m. on September 15,2020.
4. Compensation Amendment History: This is Amendment #1 of the Original Contract. The history of
amendments to the compensation on the Original Contract and all amendments is as follows:

The parties have executed this Amendment to the Original Contract this /1 day of September,
